Water Baby

Well Aidan has officially been out in the world just as long as he was inside! 9 months have passed already. He's becoming quite a handfull! He always wants to be standing up. I think he may walk before he crawls. He is able to get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth, but he has yet to get those hands and legs moving at the same time to venture around the house. He also loves the water. Not just the tub, (where he kicks water EVERYWHERE (i eventually end up just as wet as him!), but we had him in my mom's pull a few weeks ago. He loved it! Splashing around and watching kenzie go underwater. We're heading to Myrtle Beach soon, so I'm very excited to see Aidan's reaction to the sand and water, plus I'm happy to get a vacation!

Ham

so mr aidan is 6 1/2 months now and still growing! his 6 month check up was on the 1st of this month and he was 20lbs and 27.5 inches. he just rolled over by himself for the first time last weekend, it may have been a little on the cheating side because he was in his playpen and the mattress was on a little incline-so that gave him a boost. but hey he rolled on his own, so i'll take it. he's also really begun to watch our mouths as we talk to him and he's always making noise and baby-talking. he's also beginning to show his irish/italian stubborn mentality. when he gets upset, he lets you know by the grunting that he does :) i'll have to try and get it on video and post it.
it's also finally starting to get a little warmer around here..it will be nice to take the little one for walks and to the park. we went on a walk last week, he was so fun to watch, turning his head to try and figure out where that sound was coming from (it was the birds singing)...and then he just chills out in his stroller, leaning back with his arm hanging out of the side, just taking it all in.

veggies, not a big fan-but i eat them!

5 months-i've been such a slacker

aidan's already 5 months old (tomorrow), and he's currently sitting in my lap as i try to type this one-handed! not an easy task! i truly never realized how hard parenthood would be. my biggest issue is time management...i need more hours--to sleep, to do chores, to pee!
but he truly is a good baby. a good eater-if you can't tell-, an okay sleeper (not sure where he gets the lack of needing sleep from), and a flirt! he's been baby-talking since about 2 months old and every now and then tim and i just look at each other when what sounds like a real word comes out. "did you hear that?" similtaneously comes out of our mouths...i keep thinking i can't wait until he does this or that, but then i think, time has already gone by so fast and have to remind myself to stop and enjoy what he's doing now. we were in pa for a family visit and there were pictures of him at about 3 months- and i honestly don't remember him being so small! my chunky monkey is about 17 lbs. right now if not more!
our new purchase has been the jumperoo...a wonderful buy, but space consuming as is everything for a new baby. our living room has turned into aidan's room with just enough room for mom and dad!
so i'll will do my best to try and keep up with this. i'm not certain who still actually reads it!

Getting ready for Christmas

so here's our big bundle! Aidan's only 10 weeks and looks like such a little man! we've managed to make our first visit to PA (and about to make our 2nd this weekend followed by another after xmas.) he's witnessed his first snowfall in both pa and md, sat on santa's lap (who looked like an actual santa--the hair and beard were real!), and survived living with us! not bad for a 10 week old! he's been mumbling now for about a month, i'm just waiting for the day that he actually answers me back. his mouth and tongue move so much when he wants to talk...oohs and ahhs and babbling just come out with an excited smile and laugh!
the only bad part is that i've gone back to work :( i went back after 8 weeks. i didn't miss it while i was out and i still don't. it would be great to stay home and raise our son, but it's just not possible right now. after, actually before he was born, i was thinking about moving back to pa, but now, it's constantly in the back of my mind. it's probably not in the near future...we've got to see how things go and what would happen if tim would transfer, plus with the crappy housing market, i think we'd have trouble selling the house. so we'll just keep working on it and see where life takes us...for now Aidan is 100% of my life!
